Research Unplugged
Research Unplugged is not just another lecture series. It's an idea based on Café Scientifique, a university-town phenomenon that began a few years ago in the U.K. The concept is to create an informal forum, open to all, for exploring ideas—to foster public dialogue and energize conversations about issues that matter.
We gather on Wednesdays at noon in the gallery of the Penn State Downtown Theatre, a great conversation space in a popular location. Downtown restaurants provide light refreshments at no cost to guests. The afternoon begins with a 10-15 minute introduction of the topic, followed by an open floor for questions and discussion.
