A conversation with Tao Lowe

"Tables, tires, and toys are polymers," says Tao Lowe. But polymers can also be used as biomaterials in the body. Here, Lowe explains the ability of polymers to penetrate the blood-brain barrier and how they are improving drug delivery systems to treat diseases such as Alzheimer's. Says Lowe, "Penn State is really pushing the materials field into bio-application."
